Sunraysia Welcomes The ‘Dining Boom’

By Shelbie Lynch
Now that the ‘Mining Boom’ is over, it’s time for the ‘Dining Boom’. Australia has signed a free trade agreement with China to be phased in over the next 5 years.
Without doubt this is exciting news for Mildura and district with our region being known as the ‘food bowl’ of Victoria. It is estimated to inject tens of millions of dollars into Sunraysia’s horticultural industries in the coming decade.

With Mildura being huge producers of almonds, avocados, citrus, table & wine grapes this is a positive for our region allowing the export market to strengthen which inevitably provides numerous & prosperous growth opportunities for individuals, businesses & the town as a whole.

This exciting news will prove Mildura to be Victoria’s ‘hot spot’ with current and new investors reaping the benefits for years to come.
